• Abstracts are invited for presentation in the 32nd Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology which will be held in Kolkata from 13^th through 16^th October 2022.
• Abstract submission is now open.
• The last date for submission of abstracts without late fee is 15^th July 2022.
• Abstracts can be submitted with a late fee of Rs 1000 up to 15^th August 2022.

Abstracts need to be submitted both Online and by Email (email the duly filled Abstracts form to iasgabstracts@gmail.com), as per the following instructions -

• Online submission of abstract - please follow these steps:
  • Visit http://abstracts.iasgindia.com
  • Log in as a new user, and choose author option.
  • Set up your username and password.
  • Once you log in, select New submission.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Certain email servers may not receive emails from this website (e.g. Hotmail.com, etc). This can be checked by using the ‘Forgot Password’ link. In such cases, the authors are encouraged to use Gmail or other similar email accounts.
  • Your abstract may be in one of three categories: free paper, bursary abstract, or video. It will also be necessary to choose the track (esophagus, stomach etc) while submitting the abstract.
  • For each of the categories, copies of the submissions are to be sent as follows: a) free paper abstracts to iasgabstracts@gmail.com (with a subject heading “ free paper abstract for IASGCON 2022”); b) bursary abstracts to iasgbursary@gmail.com with subject heading “Abstract for bursary 2022”; and c) video abstracts to iasgabstracts@gmail.com (with subject heading “video abstract for IASGCON 2022”). The forms for these submissions are appended at the end of this document and are also available on www.iasgindia.com and www.iasgcon2022.com.
  • Video abstracts – The authors of the shortlisted video abstracts will need to submit the video file for review prior to confirmation of acceptance. The video file format should be HD quality MP4 format and 6 minutes (maximum) duration (strictly). Any powerpoint slides, images, tables, references, etc, will not be accepted separately. However, these can be made part of the video, if considered necessary by the author. The submission process for review of the video file would be intimated to the authors later.
• Once abstracts are submitted, they are subjected to a peer review process which will determine if the abstract is suitable for presentation at the 32^nd annual conference and the category of its presentation. The categories are a) award session, b) special mention poster session, c) oral paper session, and d) poster session. The final decision regarding acceptance and category shall be intimated to the presenting author on or before 10^th September 2022.
• Accepted abstracts will be published in a supplement of “Tropical Gastroenterology” (either pdf or print).
